Badwater Guitar Strat style Distressed White

Really impressively done Badwater strat style electric guitar. The Badwater series are made by AXL in the excellent AXL factory in China. One of the best factories in China, the AXL factory are coming out with some really impressive guitars for very little money.

This paticular example from the Badwater series has a distressed style body, looks like it's seen many a gig and has been thoroughly played over years, it is of course a new guitar made to look like this and there are a lot of guitars with this distressed thing going on, the Badwater series are definately one of our favourites though.

Attention to detail here is great, even the tremelo bridge system has been anodized giving it that "Played for years" look. The machine heads have been antiqued too as has the pickguard and headstock, finished off with a burned on AXL logo.

So how does it play? For a guitar this price, really really nice! The neck profile is a C shape and fits in the hand nicely, the rosewood fretboard hosts well set and finished frets and the neck joins at the 16th fret giving easy access to higher notes. It also sounds great, them pickups are EMG Designed, one humbucker and two single coils controlled by a five way selector switch, one volume knob and two tone knobs.

The Badwater's body is alder, that's the same wood you'll find on an American strat and it gives a punchy warm tone that suits the pickups well.

It could well have just been an interesting looking guitar but a bit of a duffer to play, but the Badwater SRO is a nice little player. Top value for money.
