Complete Compact PA Sound System for Medium Sized Venues

A compact yet powerful and crystal clear active all-in-one sound system from Adam Hall's LD range. First of all, we want you to forget wattage. It's an indication of how much power is being used, not how loud or good a speaker system is. The Dave 15 comprises of two 150 watt tops and one 400 watt sub woofer.

In comparison this is a low powered system to other things on the market but because of high efficiency of the 15" Emminence speakers it is powerful enough to offer enough volume and clarity to entertainers such as DJs and duos wanting to do fairly big gigs or bands who need the voluime and projection the Dave 12 cannot give.

The floor standing sub woofer unit contains the amplifier section for both sub and tops and is connected to the smaller top speakers with speakon cables. Once these speakon cables are connected it's a matter of connecting whatever stereo input you have into the XLR or phono / RCA connectors, turning the unit on and turning up the main and bass volume knobs on the back of the sub woofer unit and that's it. No messing with crossovers, no seperate amplifiers to wire up, it's done.

Another important reason we love the LDDAVE15UK so much is it's size and weight. The tops come in at a meagre 9.7kg each and measure 280mm x 430mm x 250mm. The sub weighs a managable 42.5kg and sizes up at 480mm x 570mm x 635mm.

The system is pictured here with the SPS821 speaker pole and SPS823 T-Bar, we can do this setup or have the more traditional one speaker mounted on a pole from the sub woofer and one on a seperate stand. The former allows for an easy set up in restricted areas, the latter is better if you require more stereo separation.

The LDDAVE15UK comes supplied with a Volex power lead which clicks into place. If your audience is getting a bit excited and the power cable happens to get a tug this should ensure it stays in the unit's power socket and doesn't pull out cutting power, the socket is the same as a regular power cable though and a non volex cable can be used if needed. These is also a phase reverse button to shift the phase of the sub woofer. The best way to use this is after you're set up, try this switch in both positions to see if one setting sounds better than another. Sometimes the tops and subs can end up being out of phase meaning there is a bad interaction of what is coming out of the sub compared to the tops and pushing this button will solve this.
