An Open Plains 3 Freshman dreadnought acoustic guitar, absolutely stunning AAA grade Sitka spruce top and quilted mahogany back and sides, the FOP3DN responds amazingly well to flat picking and fingerpicking with a pronounced bottom end and clear mids and high end tone. If the FOP3DN is a little out of your price range you could try the Open Plains 2 series in dreadnought and OOO body shapes.

Binding around the body and up the neck is walnut with a slither of maple which we most recently saw in the Apollo 3 range.

The book matched quilted mahogany on the FOP3DN gives an amazing effect on the back and sides and helps towards making this the very special guitar it is. Stunning.
