The bass is from a company called Chord, not a massive name in the bass guitar world but we were so impressed with the quality of their basses that we decided to include them in our starter package. It features a solid alder body which has great tonal qualities but is also light enough for young people to be able to wear stood up with the strap. The maple neck is deeply joined with the body and bolted allowing maximum vibration transfer and improving sustain.

24 well set frets on the rosewood fingerboard mean we can get a great easy to play string action which will be comfortable to anyone starting out. Setup is so important on entry level instruments, we check everything that is sold to make sure it's not going to put anyone off learning.

Included in this bass starter package is a good quality black gig bag, strap, lead and a Peavey MAX126 practice bass amplifier. The Max 126 is a great amp for practicing at home. Many cheap starter bass amplifiers don't have any definition on the lowest notes. The Peavey MAX126 has tons of definition in the low end and the Transtube Technology it uses gives a really defined and punchy tone.
