Tanglewood Overwater Aspiration Artist 4 String Bass Trans Red

An Overwater Aspirations Artist 4 string bass in transparent red. Features a white ash body which works well for this sized body and gives a nice range of tones from smooth to grunty depending on your EQ and brightness pull settings.

The bridge on the Aspirations Artist is custom built for this bass from brass with a steep string break angle. Basically this means the string is pulling down hard on the saddle helping the acoustic tone from the bass transfer into the pickups.

The neck is a bolt on but the end of the neck is wedged firmly into the body cavity giving great transference between the neck and body. All these little things like this and the bridge combine to give a rich acoustic tone which really shows when plugged in.

An incredibly impressive bass for the money, the Overwater series punches well above it's weight in terms of fit and finish as well as playability and tone.
