Tanglewood Evolution dreadnought acoustic guitar with a solid cedar top and mahogany back and sides.
This guitar also comes with a gloss finish in the form of the TW28-CSG for those that prefer gloss to satin.
The solid cedar top on the TW28-CSN means tone is fuller, more complicated and warmer than it's laminate counterpart. It also means that after six or so months of regular playing the sound will really start to drastically improve and actually keep getting better as the years go by.
Cedar is perhaps more suited to finger picking styles because of the clarity it gives to individual notes and the fact it doesn't muddy runs of notes like spruce can. However the big dreadnought body and mahogany back and sides ensure strummed chords sound full and bassy while still retaining a crispness from the cedar.
Nut and saddle are both bone to help with sustain and the comfortable fingerboard is rosewood.
An impressive solid top guitar which will get better with age.
